What is a skinbooster?
A skinbooster is an injection of, for example, stabilised hyaluronic acid, polynucleotides, vitamins and amino acids placed superficially in the dermis. Unlike dermal fillers, the aim is not to add volume but to improve skin hydration, texture and elasticity.
How does the treatment work?
After consultation and cleansing, small amounts of product are injected with a fine needle or cannula into the treatment area. The ingredients are designed to bind moisture and stimulate the skin's own production of collagen and elastin. A course of 2–3 sessions a few weeks apart is usually recommended, followed by maintenance.
What does it help with?
- Dry, dull or tired-looking skin
- Fine lines and early wrinkles
- Reduced firmness and elasticity
- Uneven skin texture and enlarged pores
- Neck, décolletage and hands
- Dark circles and thin skin under the eyes (product-dependent)
